The Dangers Of An Islam Blasphemy Law

Christian Concern has been arguing that Labour should drop its plans for an official ‘Islamophobia’ definition ever since it was proposed. And with your help, we sent this message to the Government. On Tuesday, we gathered outside the Home Office, urging Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner not to draw up a definition of Islamophobia. More than 51,000 people signed the petition, urging the Government to protect free speech and the right to critique Islamic ideology. Introducing an official definition of Islamophobia would label any legitimate critique of Islam as racism and hate speech. No other religious group enjoys this privilege. Pray that the UK would say no to any Islamic blasphemy law and that God would raise up more Christians to courageously and lovingly proclaim the gospel of Jesus.
