House of Ants Update March 2024

Your interest, prayers and support are very valuable to us as trustees and particularly valuable to all at House of Ants.

The need of the children and the needs of their surrounding circumstances continue to be difficult and are constantly presenting daily challenges. Any kind of good news is a real bust of encouragement to the administration team at House of Ants. They see the Lord answering prayers and providing in wonderful ways.

Simione, reported the good news of a family who visited in October last year had have since provided funds for two of the children to have a full education and scholarship.

Simione writes: "Allow-me to share with you some good news and blessings from our Lord’s kind hand. In October (last year), we were visited by a family, who own a private school here in Mozambique, it was a very encouraging visit and they had a real heart for the children of Casa da Formiga, (House of Ants), it was the first time for them at Casa da Formiga, and decided to offer Scholarships for 2 children to study in their Private school with all paid scholarships. We proposed two little boys, both are mother-less, and live at Casa da Formiga; Vasco Rodrigues who is 9 years old and Tayson who is 8 year old; Glory be to God. We praise the Lord for this special gift. What an important and gracious blessing to these two little boys.

Every boy and girl have their own, often very sad, histories and circumstances. Many have no parents at all, some have one parent who is laid aside with sickness. House of Ants update March 24 Here are three of the children that have come to House Of Ants for support.

1. Tomé Ofélia Malhope 7 years old. Tomé lives with his mother. His father has sadly died. His mother has physical limitations due to a stroke. She collects and sells plastic packaging for recycling. She came to ask for help at the House of Ants for her little boy Tomé and 2 other siblings. Tomé and his siblings do not live at House of Ants, but attend as students there and come every day for lunch, bible class, school tutoring. This has been a real blessing to them all especially there mother who is quite ill. Please pray that the testimony of the team at House of Ants would be a means whereby they can see and hear of the gospel through their practical Christian witness.

2. Rosa da Flora Daude, 11 years old Rosa she is 11 years old and lives with her aunt. Sadly she is now an orphan, as both her mother and father passed away. Her aunt is a single mother and has other children. She doesn't have a formal job, she does a small business selling food products such as tomatoes, onions and other vegetables. She sells her products from her own home and is dependent on those who pass by. What she earns is by no means enough for them all to live on. She came to House of Ants for help, asking if Rosa can study, so that Rosa could have better opportunities for the future.

3. Talmício 9 years old Talmício 9 years old boy, has lived at House of Ants since last year. Talmício’s mother and father have sadly passed away. His aunt is vey poor, and there is no other family to care for him. The government sent him to House of Ants. Unfortunately Talmício, suffers from a disease that they still don't know. He seems particularly affected at night he has a very high temperature and feels a lot of pain near his chest. He also suffers from asthma. Pray remember these three children in your prayers. And please remember the ongoing work of all at House of Ants as the seek the Lord’s guidance and wisdom for future days.
