I recently sent the draft of a book on "Grace" to the publisher. I got the idea from an old book by Abraham Booth, "The Reign of Grace", first published in 1768, which I read has never been out of print! Our esteemed professor John Murray regarded it as 'one of the most eloquent and moving expositions of the subject of divine grace in the English language.' I ask myself why then should I spend my time writing, but I have been encouraged to do so. As always, I have the Kenya situation in mind, to teach the same truth with more accessible English. As for methodology I have sought to base everything on specific passages of Scripture where the word grace occurs (more than 100x in the NT). I am thinking of entitling it ‘Grace in Everything’ —election, calling, regeneration, justification, adoption, sanctification, glorification, the history of doctrine, practice, and even hymnody.
